A new collection of animal echo modules that provide learners with access to various echo topics where speakers discuss the similarities and differences in human and nonhumans. Modules include a combination of lectures, animated videos, questions and case discussions.

These presentations compare and contrast mitral valve structure as well as function between the species. This complementary approach adds to the knowledge and generation of ideas of any participant whose area is generally confined to one species of patient.

• Understand similarities and differences in mitral valve dysfunction as it occurs in humans and in dogs, including assessment and intervention.
• Gain insights on mitral valve assessment by seeing its application in species that differ from those in one's daily caseload.
