The Advanced Imaging Techniques Virtual Experience will be held August 29th - August 30th, 2026, and feature a clinically applicable program aimed at the sonographer/practitioner directly involved in advanced echo imaging. A total of 8 CME credits will be available.
Created by course chair Kristen Billick BS, ACS, RCS, RDCS, FASE and co-chair Ashlee Davis BS, ACS, RDCS, RCCS, FASE, this year’s conference takes you on a journey from the fundamentals of cardiac anatomy to the cutting edge of 3D visualization, exploring how to transition "from pig heart to probe" to better understand complex structures. Attendees will gain a systematic approach to the evaluation of Mitral Regurgitation (MR) and Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR) using 3D technology, providing the precision required for modern clinical practice.
The program dives deep into the mechanics of the heart, offering comprehensive sessions on the acquisition, processing, and clinical applications of 3D and strain analysis for the Left Ventricle (LV), Left Atrium (LA), and Right Ventricle (RV). Beyond standard imaging, attendees will explore the vital role of Intracardiac Echo (ICE) during structural heart imaging and uncover the critical diagnostic insights provided by LV and LA strain data. The American Society of Echocardiography designates this activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program, the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) MOC program, and/or the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® or MOCA 2.0®. It is ASE’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM and ABP MOC points and/or ABA MOCA 2.0®. Physicians will earn MOC and/or MOCA 2.0 points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
ARDMS and CCI recognize ASE’s certificates and have agreed to honor the CME credit hours toward their registry requirements for sonographers.
