The ASE PCHD Council and Education committees will be launching a series of webinars that will primarily be case-based, imaging focused modules to discuss and share practical tips / tricks in the practice of congenital heart disease imaging. Beginning in early 2021, this educational offering will comprise of 4 webinars /year (one per quarter). Each session is expected to last ~60 minutes with 3-5 speakers. By leveraging the virtual platform and recognizing the value of microlearning, these sessions are designed to reach the ASE pediatric and congenital community, both sonographers and physicians.

This webinar will focus on echocardiography guided interventions in the catheterization laboratory with focus on pertinent imaging, salient points of communication and the added value of advanced imaging techniques.
Target Audience: This activity is designed for all cardiovascular sonographers and physicians with a primary interest and knowledge base in the field of cardiovascular imaging.
Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss key principles of TEE guidance for cath lab intervention
2. Demonstrate pre, intra and post procedure echocardiographic assessment of device closure of atrial septal defects including the value of 3D echo
3. Describe the echocardiographic features of patent ductus arteriosus amenable to device closure and imaging characteristics of newer devices such as the Picolo device
4. Summarize imaging and current status of ventricular septal defect closure devices
